Anemos

"Anemos" is a composition for wind ensemble, flying and non-flying aeolian orchestras, performed by a collective of kite-flyers and overtone flutes players whose movements are either choreographed or naturally directed by the wind. 

It begins with Goethe’s Sonett „Natur und Kunst“ whose central motif - the mutual interdependence of freedom and restriction - is reflected both compositionally and performatively. It creates a situation in which compositional rigor and open processes intertwine - very much in the spirit of Goethe: „In der Beschränkung zeigt sich erst der Meister, und das Gesetz nur kann uns Freiheit geben.“

The performance is set in Kirschbachtal. Meeting point is 16:00 at SENDEHALLE.
