Movement Improvisation through Listening
"Improvisation through Listening" invites participants to explore their own movement through research and improvisation. Movement qualities, states, imagery, sound and voice, and collective composition become creative tools for a process grounded in exploration, imagination and intuition. Guided physical and poetic exercises open ways of relating through the connections between bodies, presence, time and space.
Working with scores and points of attention, the workshop develops tools that arise from sensation and experience. Personal and collective material can unfold as participants explore their own performative language and cultivate curiosity, attention and responsiveness to what emerges in the moment. The group alternates between moving, witnessing and reflecting, sharing and observing one another's proposals in different settings. Listening becomes both a compositional practice and a way of being in relation.
Maddi Fuente Ubani (she/they) is a Basque movement practitioner, performer, creator and facilitator working between research and composition in movement and sound. They co-founded Ore ama Collective in Berlin and accompany others as a whole-journey doula.
